Privacy Policy for NPC Mode

NPC-Inc ("NPC-Inc," "NPC Mode," "we," "our," or "us") provides the NPC Mode mobile application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how NPC-Inc collects, uses, stores, and shares information when people use NPC Mode, visit https://npcmode.dev, create an account, sign in with Google, or subscribe through supported app stores.

By using NPC Mode, users agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Collected

NPC-Inc may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, login identifiers, and profile details provided during sign-up or through authentication providers.
• Authentication information: information received from Google Sign-In or other login providers, such as account email address and basic profile information, depending on the permissions granted by the user.
• User content: tasks, habits, journal entries, prompts, generated content, settings, preferences, and other information submitted within NPC Mode.
• Subscription information: entitlement, subscription status, transaction identifiers, storefront information, and billing-related metadata provided through app stores and RevenueCat. NPC-Inc does not receive full payment card numbers from Apple or Google app store purchases.
• Technical information: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, crash logs, and diagnostic or analytics information if enabled.
• Support communications: messages sent to hello@npcmode.dev or through support channels.

2. How Information Is Used

NPC-Inc may use information to:

• create and manage user accounts;
• authenticate users and provide sign-in features;
• operate the NPC Mode app and synchronize content across devices;
• provide subscription access and manage entitlements using RevenueCat and app store billing systems;
• generate, store, and display user-requested content and app features;
• provide customer support and respond to requests;
• improve the app, troubleshoot bugs, monitor performance, and maintain security;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce terms, policies, and app rules.

NPC-Inc will use Google user data only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and only as necessary to provide requested app functionality.

3. Google Sign-In and Google User Data

If a user chooses to sign in with Google, NPC-Inc may receive limited Google account information such as the user's email address, name, and profile information associated with the granted scopes. NPC-Inc uses this information only to authenticate the user, associate the Google account with the user's NPC Mode account, and support account access and security.

NPC-Inc does not sell Google user data. NPC-Inc does not use Google user data for advertising. NPC-Inc does not access more Google user data than is reasonably necessary for the sign-in and account-related features offered by NPC Mode.

4. Legal Bases and Consent

Where required by applicable law, NPC-Inc processes personal information based on one or more of the following grounds: consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations.

Where consent is required, users may withdraw consent by discontinuing use of certain optional features, deleting their account, or contacting hello@npcmode.dev.

5. Sharing of Information

NPC-Inc may share information with the following categories of service providers and partners:

• Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend services;
• RevenueCat for subscription status and entitlement processing;
• Apple App Store and Google Play for purchase processing and subscription management;
• hosting, infrastructure, analytics, email, and support providers used to operate the service.

Information may also be disclosed:

• to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, or lawful government request;
• to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of NPC-Inc, users, or others;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of some or all assets.

6. Data Retention

NPC-Inc retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain subscriptions and records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by data type.

If a user deletes an account or requests deletion, NPC-Inc will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal information, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, subscription, and backup-related retention needs.

7. Data Security

NPC-Inc uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

8. International Transfers

NPC-Inc and its service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries where they operate. By using NPC Mode, users understand that their information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside their home jurisdiction, subject to applicable safeguards where required.

9. Children's Privacy

NPC Mode is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required by applicable local law to consent to data processing. NPC-Inc does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If NPC-Inc learns that such information has been collected, it will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. User Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to:

• request access to personal information;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of personal information;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• request a copy of certain data;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Users may also manage certain information directly in the app and may manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

NPC Mode may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services. NPC-Inc is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and users should review those third parties' policies separately.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

NPC-Inc may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, NPC-Inc may provide notice through the app, website, or other appropriate means. Continued use of NPC Mode after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the user accepts the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
